Thank you Iron I'm glad you like the rocks. I still hiss at them when it comes to colouring them. :D
The snow plains are an ancient landscape. Formed mostly by a volcano that has been dormant for thousands of years. It's possible that long ago someone might have built a wall around the spring to better keep the heat in... :)
It makes a nice camp site now, the wolven in particular would seek it out when the war was in full swing. It would provide some shelter from elements and snow Foxciens who couldn't stand being around it for too long.

They may take forever, but I like the shading on your rocks.
Interesting that the rocks form a 'wall' around the pool, with an almost clean floor between it and the water. Makes me think the wall is a built thing. Hmm.. Ancient history, or some use in the future of this story? :-)
