It's rare for Lance's temper to flar, that it catches everyone off guard. When he's like that he is good with words and attacks people's weak points indiscriminately until he gets what he wants.
Some compare his episodes to his grandfather who was well known to go beserk in certain situations. Sharaks spotlight will go into this a bit.
