There is a bit of an explanation but it's not an in depth backstory. The cats will get more of an explanation and the introduction of more cat characters in another spotlight comic. When I'm finished with Threan's I plan to continue on with another character. (not sure which one yet)
But I can tell you that the cat's are considered abominations and are hated by the old gods. No one can really remember why, but they are not considered one of the 'original' species. All historical records record that the cats kind of turned up a few thousand years ago with with no explanation. Many believe that their origins have been purposely covered up by their ancestors for some unknown reason.

In the 5th panel, Shouldn't it be "happy to leave us in a locked room" rather than
"happy to leave us in a locked in a locked room". could just be me over-thinking it again though.
heh heh, ANYTHING for good food, Would he eat his own tail for a steak.
